He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton H. Bartels and Ethel R. Bartels (Haines); his wife Anna Bartels (Palma); his son Glenn A. Bartels, Jr.; and his brothers, Lloyd Sr., Kenneth, Merton, Gene, Stanley and Arthur Bartels.
He is survived by: his sons, David Bartels (Cheri) of Harrisburg, PA, Daniel Bartels (Debbie) of North, SC, Alton Bartels (Sonia) of Rahway, NJ, Anthony Bartels (Ann) of New Bloomfield, PA and Paul Bartels (Corbyn) of Nixa, MO; his daughter-in-law Beth Bartels of Florida; and his sisters, Goldie Mae Baker of North Dakota and Myrtle Ruth LaMonte of Missouri. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
