He is survived by: his wife Lucy E. Smeal (Ziembo); his son Nathan E. Smeal (Rachel); his grandchildren, Alexander and Emily; his children, Elliot Smeal (Lori) and Evelyn Isabella (Louis); his grandchildren, Karyssa, Anthony, Amber, Nick and Natane; and his siblings, Joyce Campbell (Rodger) and Gregory Smeal (Rene).
Family suggests memorial contributions be made in Edward's honor to the Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis Tennessee.
