It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Jane Pence of New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, born in Distant, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 10, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Crooks and Orie Bowser Crooks; her son Curtis Howard Pence; and her granddaughters, Jamie Merritt (Minich) and Julia Dawn Merritt.
She is survived by: her children, Christopher Pence (Linda Shoup), Clyde Pence (Arleen Shreckengost), Curt Pence (Sherry Cassaboom) and Penny Neely (William "Bud" Neely). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
