He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. McMahon, and Dorothy M. McMahon, Jr. (Miller); his wife Colene G. McMahon (Hilliard); his son Harold W. McMahon, Jr.; and his sister Sue Ann McMahon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marcia Walls (Michael) of New Bethlehem and Marla Byerly (Karl) of Brookville; his grandchildren, Tracye Harrison (Lukas Branham) of Oak View, Jeremy Byerly (Julie) of Marienville, Norman Byerly (Michelle) of DuBois and Thomas Byerly of Brookville; his great grandchildren, Gracye, Michael, Bradley, Lynnzee, Linkin and Charleigh; and his sister Mary Sandra "Sandee" Huston of California.
