It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Fernandes Martins (New Bedford, Pennsylvania), who passed away on May 30, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Antonio Martins; her daughter Victoria Fernandes DePina; and her sisters, Maria Fernandes Martins and Graca Fernandes Martins. She is survived by: her parent Luiza Martins (Fernandes); her children, Francisco Fernandes DePina of New Bedford, Maria Tavares of New Bedford, Alberto Martins of New Bedford, Cisaltina Martins of New Bedford, Luiza Viera of New Bedford and Antonio DePina of Italy; her sister Rosa Fernandes Martins of Brava; and also Cape Verde. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
