He is survived by: his children, Lina Delgado-Matos of New Bedford, Delia Sousa (Joseph, Altino Matos) of New Bedford and Luis Matos (Dalia) of New Hampshire; his grandchildren, Nina, Andy, Nicholas, Alexa, Lucious and Ava; and his siblings, Maria, Anjos of St. Michael and Nascimente of Canada. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
