He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Shank and Ethel Shank (Woolridge); his stepson Dean Franco; his sister Dorothy Hunter; and his nephew Terry Obney.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley; his children, Kate Bowers (Randy), Anna Lee Laughlin (Regis), Barb Hronyetz (Rocky), John Shank (Peggy) and Russell Shank (Melissa); his stepchildren, Dan Franco (Gayle), Diane Schmitt (Greg) and Denise Mixter (Art); his grandchildren, Kayci, Kiersten, Ashley (Keith), John (Lindsey), Zachary (Brandi), Rachel (Larry), Tyler (Jordyn), Marisa, Ryan, Jimmy, Nicole, Alexis (Brian), Cailin, Landon (Ashley), Meah and Lilah; and his great grandchildren, Tressa, Declan, Rosalind, Josie, Angela, Justin, Maria, Tony, Dayna, Michael, Nicole, Frank and Jacob. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Bash-Nied-Jobe Funeral Home (152 Abbe Pl, Delmont, PA 15626).
