Elizabeth M. Mays Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Smith and Opal Smith (Dupree); her siblings, Frank Smith, Anna Stanley, Betty Cloud, Nancy Moore, Ruth Edna, Susan and Rebecca Smith; her grandson Joshua Mays; and her great grandchild Kaia Mays.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Gene Mays of Utah, Brian Lee Mays (Beverly) of Indianapolis, Cindy Lynne Riley of Pennsylvania and Brenda Sue Heywood (William) of Florida; her siblings, Walter Smith of Vernon and Carol Cummings of North Vernon; her grandchildren, Michael Huseman (Ashley Hall) of Shelbyville, Amber Huseman of Florida, Justin Mays (Meg Nero) of Pennsylvania, Ty Mays of Indianapolis, Christopher Wallace of Pennsylvania, Sarah Coons (Dustin) of Princeton, Jocelyn Riley of Pennsylvania, Daniel Barnes, Natasha Mays of Utah, Angela Mays (Galen) of Rushville, Jeremy Mays (Megan) of Milroy, Alexander Mays of Milroy, Mikayla Mays of Milroy and Wynter Mays of Indianapolis; and her great grandchildren, Trystin Huseman of Shelbyville, Jaxon Huseman of Shelbyville, Unique Huseman of Florida, Damon Huseman of Florida, Declan Huseman of Florida, Dylan Gaertner-Mays of Pennsylvania, Evan Delo Mays of Pennsylvania, Dakota Coons of Princeton, Isaiah Coons of Princeton, Samantha Coons of Princeton, Bridgit Coons of Princeton, Harrison Mays of Milroy, Dean Mays of Milroy, Castiel Mays of Rushville and Danielle Mays of Rushville. She is also survived by four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home (420 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at the Kellar Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in honor of Elizabeth through the funeral home to Dementia Society of America or American Foundation for the Blind.
