She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence E. Beam and Evalyn Beam (Pearson); her husband Harry "Tom" Bortz; and her brothers, Robert, Wilbur Beam and William Pearson.
She is survived by: her children, David T. Bortz of New Alexandria and Kimberly Henry (Paul) of Latrobe; her grandchildren, Christopher Bortz, Rachael Huss (Jake), Sara McDowell (John) and Luke Henry; her great grandchild Carson McDowell; her siblings, Wayne A. Beam (Betty) of South Greensburg and Janice Hasting of Spokane, WA; and her sisters-in-law, Patty Beam and Alice Beam. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
