It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Jane Derkosh (Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania), born in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 24, 2002, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Stephen "Drake" Derkosh; her parent Maurice; her son Mark; and her siblings, Rose Buth, Edward, Robert, Charles Rohn, Cletus Engleman, Edna May and John Wilber.

She is survived by: her parent Sadie; her children, Glenn (Cyrilla Gavornik) of Jim Thorpe, Christine (Joseph Stehle) of Mifflinville and Bernice (Vincent Sweeney) of Nesquehoning; her grandchildren, Stephen Derkosh, Amy Wenner, Timothy Stehle, Michael Sweeney and Matthew Derkosh; her great grandchildren, Chelsea Rockey, Andrew Wenner, Jacob, Shelby, Cassidy, Brady Derkosh and Harper Sweeney; and her great great grandchildren, Charlotte and Ella Rockey.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in her name to the church.
