It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kathryn B. Mendel of Neshannock, Pennsylvania, born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 21, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Esa Gabriel and Mary George Gabriel; and her husband Joseph Mendel. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Steelers, Pirates and Penguins; her children, Janet Clark (LeRoy) of New Castle, Joe Mendel (Tracy) of Chippewa, Debbie Mendel (Ed McGlumphy) of Columbus, OH and George Mendel (Maureen) of New Castle; and her siblings, John Gabriel and Dolores Bjelland. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
