He was predeceased by: his parent Helen (Deno); his granddaughter Jersey; his brothers, Gary Burd and Wayne Burd; his parents-in-law, John Stankevitch and Monna Stankevitch; and his brother-in-law Allan Stankevitch.
He is survived by: his parent Richard D. Burd, Sr.; his children, Autumn Burd-Paden (Keith) and Richard Burd III; his significant other Heather Boston; his grandchildren, Lacie, Gavin, Ashley, Jacqueline, Season, Dustin, Chance, Johnny Lee Jr, Trenton, Bridget, Westin, Nevaeh, Journee and Remington; his siblings, Eleanor Cragle of Mifflinville, Betty Shuman (Duane) of Mainville, Elmer Burd of Pond Hill, Donnie Burd and Ronnie Burd; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Zajac and Charles Stankevitch. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
