She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Estella B. Rupp and Gensel; her husband Ralph Okonieski; her siblings, Richard Rupp and Mildred Hughes; her children, Ralph E. Okonieski (Deborah) and Mary S. Lewis; and her grandchildren, Jennifer, Clifton, Sarah, Valerie, Brandon and Lauren. She was also cherished by 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 285 Pond Hill Mountain Rd, Wapwallopen.
