She was predeceased by: her parent Floyd Sr.; her husband Bruce S. Shaffer; her son David Shaffer; her grandson Stephen; and her siblings, Floyd Whitmire, Sterling Whitmire, Walter Whitmire, Norman Whitmire, Verncil Whitmire, Betty Schell, Marguerite Nash and Gloria Whitmire.
She is survived by: her parent Margaret Whitmire, Sr.; her children, Duane Shaffer (Cindy) of Berwick, Gail Redline (Mark) of Bloomsburg, Ruth Whitenight (Lloyd) of Berwick and Richard Shaffer (Debbie) of Berwick; her grandchildren, Duane, Jason, Casey, Lisa, Trisha, Keith, Crystal, Tyler and Renay; and her sisters, Martha Vargo of Berwick and Pauline Dixon of McConnellstown. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter.
