He was predeceased by: his parents, John Adams and Stella Adams (Cahill); and his siblings, Richard, John Adams and Ruthann McCabe.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah L. Adams (Girard); his children, Hope Drumheller (Scott Bortz) and James Adams II; his grandchildren, Cory, Cody, Kiersten, Cailee, Hailey, James D. and Jennie; his great grandchildren, Elaina, Niya, Alianna and Ava; and his siblings, Thomas Adams (Bonnie) and Shirley Naunzek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
