He is survived by: his wife Judy A. Whitmire (Wolfe); his children, Nick Whitmire and Tonya Combs (Garry); his granddaughters, Tarra Christenson (Zach) and Megan Maydick (Chris); and his siblings, Jim Whitmire, Duane Whitmire (Nancy) and Ruthann Wagner (Dean). He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
