He was predeceased by: his father Donald; and his pet Musty. He is survived by: his children, Dawn (Michael), Teri and David; his grandchildren, Elijah, Samuel, Jaidyn, Ciera and Akira; his mother Carol; his siblings, Wendy and Dale; his sister-in-law Trish; and his siblings, Bill, Donna (Koker) and Kerry (Anne Marie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
