It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona S. Hawk of Nemacolin, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 16, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Waldo and Leona Rebecca Emerson (Teets); and her brother Howard Emerson. She is survived by: her former husband Charles E. Hawk of Greensboro; her children, Thomas E. Hawk of Morgantown, W. Va (Timothy C. Hawk) and Carletta L. Smith Riley (David L. Riley, Sr.) of Carmichaels; her grandchildren, Jennifer Hawk, Timothy Hawk (Rachel), Steven Hawk and Adam D. Smith (Wendy); her stepgrandchildren, Whitney Arbogast, David Riley, Jr. and Jani Riley; her great grandchildren, Jorden Keener, Madison Smith, Julian, Jude and Airyona Kinsley Hawk; her sisters, Goldie M. Rosati and Frances G. Wolfe; her daughter Patricia Sue Zahand; her granddaughter Elizabeth Rebecca Zahand; and her siblings, Mildred Jean Arnold, Eva Lou Ondish, Louella P. Johnson, Herbert R., John E., Edgar W., George A. and Irvin E. Emerson.
