She was predeceased by: her parents, J. William Hendershot and Viola Souders Hendershot; her former husband John S. Beatty; her son John R. Beatty; and her siblings, William "Short" Hendershot, Harry "Edward" Hendershot, Gary Hendershot, Laura Rockwell, Ruth Frank and Berenice Reasner.
She is survived by: her husband Harry Lee Garland; her children, Jacquelyn E. "Jackie" Porterfield (Dan) of Needmore, PA, Kelly S. Miller (Ray) of Needmore, PA, Deidre L. "Deidi" Ritz (James) of Warfordsburg, PA and Todd B. Beatty (Billie Jo) of Needmore, PA; her daughter-in-law Lisa Beatty of Needmore, PA; her stepchildren, Penny Weist of Chambersburg, PA and David Garland (Yvonne) of McConnellsburg, PA; and her siblings, John Hendershot of Lemasters, PA and Dottie Mellott of Chambersburg, PA.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Needmore Bible Church Missions Fund or Gideon's International.
