It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Jane Shives of Needmore, Pennsylvania, born in Greencastle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 29, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Stacy Barnhart; and her sisters, Katherine Wagner and Dorothy Wagner. She is survived by: her husband Melvin Shives, Jr. (Jimmy); her children, Wally Shives (Sandy) of Berkeley Springs, WV., Becky Dase (Tom) of Needmore, PA., Alvin Shives (Peggy) of Needmore, PA., Christopher Shives (Debbie) of Needmore, PA., Timothy Shives (Jenny) of Warfordsburg, PA. and Rose Shives of Needmore, PA.; her grandchildren, Brian Shives, Amanda Shives Kyne, Megan Smith, Lynn Shives, Curtis Spade, Chase Duckwall, Steve Dase and Tony Shives; and her sister Janet Shives of Mercersburg, PA.. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
