It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Gernet Lynn Whitmer of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 6, 2023, at the age of 107, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry H. Lynn and Mazie R. Lynn (Gernet); her husband Ralph L. Whitmer; her son Terrance R. Whitmer; and her sisters, Elizabeth L. Metzger and Grace L. Heffner.
She is survived by: her daughter Candace D. Whitmer Collmer (Alan Collmer) of Ithaca, NY; her stepdaughter Deanna Achenbach Fritz of Hawley, PA; her grandchildren, Richard Achenbach, Jr., Scott Achenbach, Alex Collmer, April Collmer, Jenna Whitmer Kearns and Benjamin Whitmer; and her daughter-in-law Cathy Yost of Nazareth. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Moravian Hall Square's Good Samaritan Fund or Family Pillars Hospice, both in care of the Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 East Center Street, Nazareth, PA 18064.
