She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Hawkins and Mary Hawkins. She is survived by: her husband John; her sister Peggy Patterson of Fort Oglethorpe; her sister-in-law Mary Ellen Greene of Townsend; her brother Stanley Hawkins of Valley, Alabama; her stepsons, Blake (Lissa) and Chad (Joanna); her stepgrandchildren, Helena, Marlowe, Alessia and Evan; and her pets, Truman, Coco and Lady.
In lieu of flowers, Kris had requested donations be made to the Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, 3900 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
