She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Jones; her parents, Leon Compton and Eleanor Compton (Wheeler); her son James Jones; and her granddaughter Abby.
She is survived by: her children, Linda, Billy, Joe, David Jones (Lori), Toni Miller and Jodi Jones; her daughter-in-law Ruth Jones; and her grandchildren, Tiffany, Kevin, Molly, Danette, Damon, Darci, Naomi, Clare, Jack, Sarah, Joline, Ruth, Jason and Elizabeth. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Joan's memory to the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
