He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Smarick and Mary Smarick (Laseck); and his siblings, Edward Smarick and Dorothy Kuruc. He is survived by: his wife Joyce L. Smarick (Zabec); his sons, Sean D. Smarick (Lisa) of North Huntingdon and Todd A. Smarick (Charlene) of Lower Burrell; his grandchildren, Timothy, Brooke and Heather; and his brother Richard Smarick (Jane) of Annapolis.
