He was predeceased by: his parents, Blair Bowman and Jennie Bowman; his wife Lois Mae Bowman (Rickerd); his son David Bowman; and his siblings, Clyde, James, Edwin, Charlotte, Ruby, Wilda LaRue and Patty.

He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Shaffer (Mark) of Natrona Heights; and his brother Paul Bowman of Leechburg.
