He was predeceased by: his father Stefan Minarik; and his siblings, Martin, Steve (Margaret Jazik), Helen Silagyi (John), John, Amelia Tomayko (Carl), Margaret Smith (Richard) and William.

He is survived by: his wife Dolores Minarik (Thimons); his children, Dennis, Linda Garfield (Charles) and Cynthia Walters (Daniel); his grandchildren, Jonathan Walters (Soojin Park) and Janey Mazur (Zachary); and his great grandchild Jace Mazur. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
