He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Godfrey and Shirley Godfrey (Southward); his daughter Kelly Nicole Smith; his grandson Gabriel Smith; his siblings-in-law, Amel and Terry Dobradenka; and his uncle Rich Matuizek.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Godfrey (Dobradenka); his son J. Patrick Godfrey (Shannon) of Brackenridge; his grandchildren, Chase Godfrey, Nolan Loskoch, Mason Smith, Payton Godfrey, Zander Godfrey and Katlyn Pertinaci (James); his brothers, Bill A. Godfrey of Natrona and Arthur R. Godfrey (Christine) of Buffalo Township; his nephew Gentry Kerwood (Sami) of Ft. Wayne, IN; and his cousins, Ed, Jeff "Goose", Mark "Tuff" and Mike Matuizek.
