He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Swartz and Bernice Swartz (Coffman); his wife Geraldine Swartz (Lewandowski); his sons, Gerald and James Swartz; and his siblings, James Swartz and Shirley Swartz Gross.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann Yurchick, Jack Swartz (Susan), Charles Swartz (Lynn), Richard Swartz (Angela), Timothy Swartz (Lori) and Thomas Swartz (Bruce); his pet Izzy; and his siblings, Richard Swartz (Bert), JoAnn Flick and Beverly Swartz Gumpbert. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
