He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry J. Traenkner and Helen L. Traenkner (Schlicker); his wife Frances A. Traenkner (Rauscher); and his brothers, Robert, Fred and George Traenkner.
He is survived by: his sister Janet Simpson (Traenkner) of Murrysville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
