He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair Peiffer and Esther Peiffer (Leasure); his former wife Geraldine Viola Peiffer (Macurdy); and his siblings, Delmont (Hoss), Richard (Dick), Robert F. Peiffer and Dorothy Stoops.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Peiffer (Ashbaugh); his sons, Donald Peiffer Jr. (Linda) of Cabot, David Peiffer (Patricia) of Brackenridge and Curt Peiffer (Susan) of Natrona Heights; his stepchildren, John Klingensmith, Jerry Klingensmith and Susan Dickson (Randy); his grandchildren, Christy, Christie, Matthew, Josh, Christopher, Shannon, Jacob and Jedidiah; his stepgranddaughter Melynn Dickson; and his sister Marge Giesler of Harrisville. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
