He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred H. Byrd and Dorothy Elaine Byrd (Talley). He is survived by: his children, James Byrd II (Julie Krammes) of Stevens, Heidi M. Byrd of Narvon, Casey A. Byrd (Felicia Bulson) of Denver and Silver L. Meadows (Ryan Sr.) of Narvon; and the mother of his children Kathleen Stoner of Narvon. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; three sisters.
