He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron R. Zimmerman and Minnie Zimmerman (Hoover); his wife Esther M. Zimmerman (Shirk); and his siblings, John Jacob, Vera and Alice Zimmerman.
He is survived by: his children, Alta Zimmerman of Narvon, Anna Mae (Paul Zimmerman), Harvey (Anita Zimmerman), Lucy (Phares Shirk), Erma (Lawrence Zimmerman), Aaron (Elva Zimmerman), Etta (Christian Zimmerman), Esther Zimmerman of Narvon, Ruth (Jason Zimmerman), John Ivan (Suetta Zimmerman) of Narvon and Verna (Earl Ray Nolt); and his siblings, Eli (Mabel Zimmerman), Ivan (Ida Zimmerman) of Ephrata, Aaron (Ruth Zimmerman) of Newville, Edwin (Barbara Zimmerman) of Narvon, Cora (late Maynard Kilmer), Elizabeth Zimmerman of Ephrata and Ella Mae (Elvin Hoover) of Ephrata. He is also survived by 71 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren.
