It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Marchu Sr. (Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania), born in Colver, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 1, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Marchu and Adeline Kucenski; his wife Linda; and his siblings, Ed, Pete, Nick, John, Bill, Alice Price and Martha McKissick.
He is survived by: his sons, Walter Jr. Marchu (Kathleen Wojcik) and Richard Thompson (Shane); his granddaughter Melissa Daniely; his great grandchildren, Kayla and KaMya; his stepgrandson Nathan Myers (Shannon); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kendall and Kaeden Myers; his sister Betty Eisenhuth; and his sister-in-law Maryann Kucenski.
In lieu of other memorials, the family suggests donations in Sam's memory be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nanty Glo.
