It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Steve Bender Jr. (Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania), born in New York, New York, who passed away on November 15, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen, Sr. Bender and Zuzanna Bender (Mrug); his grandson Nathan Bender; his brother Joseph; and his brother-in-law James Farabaugh.
He is survived by: his wife Florence; his children, Stephen Bender (Lori), Michael Bender (Sherry), Barbara Alexander (Paul), Jennifer Clossin (Scott), Lynn Miller (Matthew) and Suzanne Clark (Joe); his grandchildren, Matthew, Erin (Jeff), Joel (Stephanie), Jill, Eric, Lynn (Clayton), Andrew (Megan), Emily and Ryan; his great grandchild Jaxon; and his sisters, Kathryn Farabaugh and Mary Hall. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations in Steve's memory may be made to St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.
