With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rosemary Mercik (Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania), born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 1, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kupchella and Dora Kupchella (Shaffer); her sister Bernadette Kupchella-Remic; her parents-in-law, Genevieve Mercik and Theodore Mercik; her nieces and nephews, Claire and Bryce Kupchella; her great-nephew Bodhi Gourley; and her pet Tuxie.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Mercik; her son Mitchell Mercik (Sarah); her brothers, John Kupchella (Patricia) and Daniel Kupchella (Angela); her siblings-in-law, Gloria Popovic (Ron) and Dave Mercik (Connie); her nieces and nephews, Alena Gourley (Matt), Josh Kupchella (Mallory), Ryan Popovic (Merdith), Jason Popovic (Isabell), Christopher Kupchella (Nichole), Julie Mercik, Devon Ruby, Jordan Kupchella and Leah Mercik; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Issadora, Jacob, Ian, Cassidy, Jonas, Marlee, Thea, Lillian, Reed, Grant, Charlie and Mia.
