He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Kupchella and Mary Kupchella (Kazlauakas); and his siblings, Bernice, Katherine, Bernard (MaryAnn Swensky), William (Elizabeth Lltavec), Charles (Margaret Buelte), Martin (Sylvia Monborne) and Anthony (Doris Whitesell).
He is survived by: his children, Bernadette Remic, Rosemary Mercik (Rick), Johnny Paul (Patricia Szekeresh) and Daniel (Angela Hegedus); his grandchildren, Alena Gourley (Matt), Joshua (Mallory Ruby), Devon (Hunter Ruby), Mitchell Mercik (Sarah Figalora), Christopher Kupchella (Nichole Eicher) and Jordan Kupchella; his great grandchildren, Issadora, Jacob, Ian Gourley, Cassidy, Jonas, Marlee Kupchella, Thea and Lillian Ruby; his wife Dora Shaffer; and his sibling Rocks.
