She was predeceased by: her parents, Dominick Orsato and Ermelinda Orsato (Pasquali); her husband Robert R. Simmers; her sons-in-law, Dale Lauer and John Fornari; and her siblings, Elsie Fiore and Matteo "Thomas" Orsato.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Fornari, Christine Laverick (James) and Cheryl Lauer; and her sister-in-law Vivian Simmers. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ida's memory may be made to the Nanty Glo Volunteer Fire Company or to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nanty Glo.
