He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles O. Kauffman and Hazel Kauffman (Sweeney); and his half-brothers, Carl, Harold and Earl Kauffman.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy L. Kauffman (Phillippy); his children, Stacy (Scott Kunkelman) of Myerstown, Todd (Brenda Kauffman) of Myerstown and Bruce Kauffman (Elizabeth Zehring) of Lebanon; and his grandchildren, Cameron, Colin Edris, Cassie, Alex and Jared Kauffman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
