He was predeceased by: his parent John Jacob; and his siblings, Roy Zimmerman, Raymond Zimmerman and Anna Mae Lehman. He is survived by: his spouse Janet M. Zimmerman (Hoover); his parent Lena Zimmerman (Good); his children, Jason (Sara), Joanne (Elvin Zimmerman) of Manns Choice, Jeryl (Lydia), Joel (Karen), Jay, Jeffrey and Jolene; his siblings, Melvin (Kathryn) of Richland, Richard (Vera Mae) of Lititz, Ernest (Anna Ruth) of Belle Rive, IL, Mary Jane (Harry Martin) of Myerstown, Miriam (Harold Good) of Stevens, Martha (Lloyd Snyder) of Fredericksburg and Erma (Clair Martin) of Myerstown; and his sister-in-law Susan Zimmerman (Raymond) of Myerstown.
