He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar M Nicely and Rose Nicely (Lestitian); and his son Richard G. "Rick" Nicely Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Melrose Nicely (Schopp); and his children, Joan Nicely and Dan Nicely. He is also survived by two grandchildren; a brother and two sisters.
