She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Skuta and Helen Skuta (Steets); her husband Theodore Shaffer; her brother John Martin Skuta (Constance); her nephew Travis Max Miller; and her niece Mary Jo Teske.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Kay Skuta Miller; her nieces and nephews, H. Samuel Miller (Rebecca), Christine Skuta, Marty Skuta, Michael Skuta, Richard Skuta (Donna) and Doug Teske; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Gabriella, Laura, Max, Ryan, Andrew (Eleni) and Brett; and her stepgranddaughters, Elizabeth Kenny (Donall) and Jennifer Page (Robert). She is also survived by seven step-great grandchildren.
