He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dorothy; his sister Grace McDonough; his children, Nick Donato and Marilyn Scaff (Scott); his grandsons, Dylan and Mason Scaff; and his parents, Joseph Donato and Rachel Donato.
In deference to the pandemic that took Nick, the family has made the difficult decision to best honor Nick and avoid risk to others by not having gatherings at this time. A celebration of life will be planned when the world is better protected from the Covid virus and it is safer to gather outdoors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Nick's name to the Animal Rescue League of Pittsburgh or Animal Friends of Pittsburgh.
