He was predeceased by: his father Anthony Peneff. He is survived by: his mother Nancy Peneff (Costantine); his wife Jane (Kester); his children, Bradley Kester-Hartsell (Nicole) and Rebecca "Boo" Hartsell; his sisters, Yvonne Talarico and Lora Brown; his nieces, Nicole, Natalie Talarico, Candace and Nancy Brown; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Allegra, Kanyen and Lorraine; and his sister Julie Hallahan Panfil. He is also survived by cousins and many friends.

“Marshall, hard to imagine my VA visits without you finding me, running give me a big hug, then cry and tell me how much you appreciated me and loved me for taking you under my wing. I was looking for you today at the VA and I was then told you passed. I will miss you my friend but I always tried to make you see better sides to everything. I got my last hug from you and I will cherish it for life. Love you my friend, Ms. Karen VAPHS.”
