He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ruffing and Loretta Ruffing (Rausch). He is survived by: his wife Bernice (Olenak); his children, Joseph (Amy), Kenneth W. and Thomas Ruffing (Christine); his grandchildren, Joe, Katy, Mandy, Nicholas, Alec, Zachary and Carson; and his siblings, Celine Kreauter (Warren) and Joseph Ruffing (Joanne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Lutz's name to the Homeville Volunteer Fire Department, 3900 Greensprings Avenue, West Mifflin, PA 15122.
