He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald Martin and Agnes Martin (McShane); his spouse JoEllen Martin (Sariscak); his siblings, Fay Givens, Donna Senich, David Martin of Munhall, Lynn Martin, James Martin and Anne Louise Wilson; his children, Dawn Agliata of Plano Texas, Thomas J. Martin (Mary Ann), Susan Wright (David) of Munhall and James Martin (Kristen) of Munhall; and his grandchildren, Brianne, Libby Morse, Marlena, Ethan, Sophia, Jasmine Martin, Mason, Lily, Jacob, Drew Wright, Angelina, Brooke Martin and Grace Lemin. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Alan's name to Munhall #4 Volunteer Firehall, 3401 Main St, Munhall PA to 15120.
