He was predeceased by: his parents, LaRue Lore and Edna Lore (Hunsinger); his grandson Marc Lore Houseknecht; his great grandchild Emma Fogleman; and his sister Bessie "Dutch" Arter.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Jean Ryder; his children, Leigh Houseknecht (Gerald) of Muncy, Marcia Smith (Donald) of Muncy and Peter Lore (Diane) of Plain City, Ohio; and his brothers, Wayne Lore of Fort Washington and Clarence "Brig" Lore (Janet) of Unityville.
