He was predeceased by: his parents, Leeman Spring and Josephine Spring (Gardner); his wife Barbara J. Funston; his sister Winifred Sones; his grandson Aaron Spring; and his daughter-in-law Carolyn Spring.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael and Scott (Mia Spring). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
