As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Smith and Edna Catherine Smith Harrington; his wife Helen M. Newman; and his foster brother Milton (Ruth Hoffman). He was also cherished by relatives are aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Muncy Baptist Church or to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
