He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl D. Spring and Doris L. Spring (Livermore). He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Shuman (Michael) of Millville, Carl Spring (Kristina) of Bloomsburg and Jeffery Spring (Jessica) of Middleburg; his grandchildren, Samantha Shuman, Jedadiah Shuman and Killian Spring; and his siblings, R. Thomas Spring (Barb) of Quarryville, Larry Spring (Mary) of Muncy Valley, Dale Spring (Glee) of Williamsport, Peg Martin (Jack) of Montoursville, Becky DeWald (Denny) of Muncy and Carl Spring, Jr..
