He is survived by: his spouse Idona Thomas; his daughter-in-law Sherri Berkheimer of Williamsport; his daughter Denise; his son-in-law Kevin Cromley of Milton; his sisters, Barbara (Harry Gavason) and Nancy (Roy Good); his daughter-in-law Laurie Berkheimer of Hellertown; his grandchildren, Michael, Wesley, Haley Cromley, Joshua, Wayne, Dale and Richard Jr. Berkheimer; and his great grandchildren, Louise, Gus, Beatrice, Lincoln, Grant, Jack, Luka and Nora.
